Earth's Atmospher



















          Earth's atmosphere is a mixture of gases that surrounds our home planet. Besides providing us with something to breathe, the atmosphere helps make life on Earth possible in several ways. It shields us from most of the harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation coming from the Sun, warms the surface of our planet. It is divided into five layers. Most of the weather and clouds are found in the first layer.

          Gases in Earth's Atmosphere there are nitrogen and oxygen are by far the most common; dry air is composed of about 78% nitrogen (N2) and about 21% oxygen (O2). Argon, carbon dioxide (CO2), and many other gases are also present in much lower amounts; each makes up less than 1% of the atmosphere's mixture of gases. The atmosphere also includes water vapor. The amount of water vapor present varies a lot, but on average is around 1%. There are also many small particles - solids and liquids - "floating" in the atmosphere. These particles, which scientists call "aerosols", include dust, spores and pollen, salt from sea spray, volcanic ash, smoke, and more.

             Layers of Earth's Atmosphere. There are several different regions or layers in the atmosphere. Each has characteristic temperatures, pressures, and phenomena. We live in the troposphere, the lowest layer, where most clouds are found and almost all weather occurs. Some jet aircraft fly in the next higher layer, the stratosphere, which contains the jet streams and the ozone layer. Higher still are the mesosphere, thermosphere and exosphere.

            Without the protective layer of gases that make up Earth's atmosphere, the harsh conditions of the solar system would render the planet a barren, lifeless husk like the moon. The Earth's atmosphere protects and sustains the planet's inhabitants by providing warmth and absorbing harmful solar rays. In addition to containing the oxygen and carbon dioxide, which living things need to survive, the atmosphere traps the sun's energy and wards off many of the dangers of space.

            Forty years ago, scientists warned that a hole in the layer of ozone surrounding the earth could have serious effects on human health and the environment. This problem is being solved thanks to a global agreement to stop the use of ozone-depleting chemicals that damage the ozone layer. We can help the earth for protect the ozone layer such as use products from plastic less, plant trees, etc.

Impact of acid rain.                    Acid rain is rain with a pH below 5.6 . Acid rain is result from sulphur dioxide (sulfur dioxide : SO2) and nitrogen oxide (nitrogen oxide : NO) . Sulphur dioxide and nitrogen oxide usually caused by the burning of fossil fuels such as coal , natural gas and oil. Sulphur dioxide and nitrogen oxide react with water (water : H2O) and other chemical in the atmosphere to produce sulphuric acid (sulfuric acid :   H2SO4) , nitric acid (Nitric acid : HNO3) and other gas pollutant , these will often react with the chemicals will result hot and humid weather and it for the causes of air pollution. Acid rain has impact on soil , structure and health.           Acid rain has impact on soil through melt fertilizer and nutrient that plant need to growth. It make plant growth slow. Acid rain melt toxins in the soil such as aluminum and mercury into water. That is very dangerous for aquatic animal. Aquatic animal could not survive and it d

Hydrological cycle                   Hydrological cycle or water cycle is change phase of water. Describes the continuous movement of water on above and below the surface of the earth. Rain in river and get a sunlight the water is vaporization and condensation. After rain again and this way forever. Hydrological cycle is important for plants, animals and human.                    The rain cause of Hydrological cycle. We all known that rain is good for our plants, it give us fresh water to drink, helps farm to growth crops, keep everything green and lush and is funny to run around in. The rain is water vaporises in the atmosphere and there is cool down and form tiny water droplets through something called “condensation” these tiny droplets then turn into clouds.
